Things are looking promising for Chasetown FC as they look to gain promotion from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South.
The Scholars have recently moved into the playoff places and are in great form which has seen their league position improve dramatically since the turn of the year. At the end of 2012, The club had won just 25 points in the league and were looking over their shoulders towards the relegation places. In 2013, they have currently won a further 45 points for a total of 70 with 2 games to go.
This season I have helped Assistant Manager Kevin Sweeney with the physical preparation of the players. This has been in a in a consultancy role looking at their weekly training methods and targets throughout the season.
A further blog coming soon will outline the work we've done together, including feedback from coaches and players, and demonstrate how strength and conditioning can be applied to semi-professional football.
